I have signed up to participate in the Canadian Liver Foundation's STROLL for LIVER: 2023.
This is my story and the reason I am taking part again this year. Liver disease is not new to me or members of my family. This year holds a special meaning to me, my dad just recently passed away so I am walking for him. He was a proud transplant recipient for 23 years.
One of my sister and myself also have the disease. I have just recently been moved over to the pre transplant clinic and is hoping for a Living Donor soon. My sister is doing well with the medications.
I never thought I would be so educated about liver Disease and what donations can do and are doing.
Times are hard with everything costing so much and that there is not always any extra to give. So please hear me and know I understand. So thank you for reading my story and if you can give great and if not be sure to sign up to be an Organ Donor. There are more people waiting for a liver and other organs then there are donors.
I hope you will consider supporting my participation in this event. Any contribution helps, and all donations are tax deductible.
Donating online is safe and easy! To make an online donation please click the "Donate Now" button on this page.
I will be fighting my liver disease one kilometre at a time..
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page and being a part of this fight
