Honourees: The Caregivers

The theme of this year’s LIVERight Gala in Calgary is ‘Be the Hero’. We will celebrate and honour the Heroes in the fight against liver disease. Whether you are a doctor, donor, nurse, sponsor, caregiver or patient, we will applaud them all for their heroism against liver disease. Everyone can be a hero for liver disease either by providing patient care, raising funds for liver research, advocating for better education on the over 100 different forms of liver diseases, or how they can keep their livers healthy.

Patients will be given a chance to nominate the caregiver in their lives, who tirelessly put their family member or friends needs before their own, day after day to battle liver disease, and tell us why they are so deserving of being honoured. Caregivers will receive a specially designed “Hero” pendant, designed by a local jeweler, as a token of gratitude from their loved one, for all the love and support they have shown.
